DEVLIN- After a brief illness, On Wednesday, March 20, 1901. JAMES DEVLIN, the beloved husband of Kate Devlin, in his 62nd year. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, also members of Kings County War Veterans and Fourteenth Regiment War Veterans, brother members of McKinsey, from his late residence, No.50 Navy st., on Sunday, March 24, 2:30P.M.
Clarence D. Mackenzie Post No. 399 has lost another member by death.. Comrade James Devlin was buried in Greenwood Cemetery Sunday last by the post with full military honors. About forty members attended, as well as a large number of his old comrades of the Fourteenth Regiment. The burial service was conducted by Commander J.W.W. Taylor and the officers of the post. Past Commander E.A. Morehouse performing the duties of chaplain. The last bugle call was sounded by the Anglo Saxon Drum and Fife Corps. The post sent resolutions of condolence to the widow. Comrade Devlin was a valued member of Mackenzie Post and will be greatly missed.
